I tell the women with whom I work to ‘treat yourself as your best lover would.’

Why on earth would I do that?

Because, even in the 21st century, girls and women are still being unconsciously taught to put others before themselves big time.

What’s wrong with a bit of altruism?
Nothing, unless it’s at your own expense.

Then it becomes unhealthy self-sacrifice, treating yourself as less entitled than the ‘other.’ Of less importance and less worthy. And that plays out in the whole of your life including your profession and business.

ENOUGH!

How much energy do you devote to taking care of yourself, to self-devotion?

Yes, you might go to the gym (a dose of doing), meet up with friends (more doing) and even have the occasional weekend away (more doing). But how often do you actually spend time to cherish yourself as your best lover would?

I’d lay bets on you answering NEVER

Imagine what being cherished by your best lover looks like. How does it feel? How does it sound, taste and smell? Use all of your senses to experience a delicious image of how it is to be cherished by your best lover…

If you’re shrugging the idea off, or find it hard to imagine, know that you were born to be loved, to be held, and to be adored. AND to be cherished so you can become more of the woman you were designed to be rather than the one you were trained to be…

KNOW THAT YOU ARE DEEPLY LOVED… AND YOU ARE THE BELOVED!
If you don’t know how to experience that, familiarise yourself with love…Watch out for small acts of love in everyday life and, as you do, notice how you feel.

The elderly couple holding hands. The warm smile of the woman in the baker’s who hands you the bread. The support you feel in the Busy Women Network. The giving of a tissue by a stranger to someone needing it without being asked.

Small acts of kindness signal the presence of love! And then…

Using a wall mirror, gaze deeply into your own eyes for at least 1 minute. Hold your gaze… Keep looking deeply deep into your beautiful eyes and notice how you soften and relax as you oh so deeply drink in your gaze…

For that, magnificent woman, is how your best lover would look at you with love in their heart…

And how does that subtly boost your professional and business success?

Give it a go, allow yourself to dwell in the presence of your best lover, and I promise you will very soon know…
