We took our famous Pork Pies to the recent Chicheley meeting and they were declared ‘the best pork pies ever tasted!’ That got us talking about Coronation celebrations and with it being so close now we thought we would share our top tips on what to serve at your celebration because what's a celebration without some delicious food? 

We understand that planning an event like this can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to deciding on the perfect menu. But don't worry, we've got you covered with these ideas that are fit for a King! 

 

Royal Appetizers: Bite sized treats are perfect for guests to enjoy while they mingle and await the main course. Smoked salmon canapes, mini quiches, and caprese skewers all work really well and can be handed around on platters giving you a great way to say hello to everyone as they arrive.. 

 

Main Course: When it comes to the main course, you want to make sure your guests can all help themselves ensuring you don’t spend hours in the kitchen serving and miss the fun. Our top recommendations include a fresh side of salmon, honey glazed ham, chipotle pulled pork, chicken with creme fraiche & tarragon. All can be served with hot buttered new potatoes, rice, roasted root vegetables, or a crisp salad. 

 

Decadent Desserts: No celebration is complete without a little something sweet. How about a fruit tart, chocolate mousse cups, or a lemon & ginger cheesecake. They can be made ahead, chilled and left in the fridge until the last minute ready for you to whip out and impress your guests. Signature Drinks: And of course, you'll want to provide a selection of beverages to accompany the food. Why not create your own signature cocktail or fruit punch? We love a Hugo - Prosecco mixed with Elderflower, the perfect light summer drink.
